On Friday afternoon the company was invited to take part in the West Caln Township's 250th event, the event was originally scheduled for July 4th, however due to the extreme heat it was rescheduled to September 11th. Crews loaded up the apparatus and headed up to Layton Park where we set up our tent. For the event we sponsored a Rubber Duck race known as the Buck a Duck race, there children purchased a duck that would later float down Water Works Rd and the first three across the line would win a prize. We also handed out fire prevention material, fire hats and let the public use a fire extinguisher for training.

The event began at 4pm with an opening ceremony with numerous guest speakers followed by activities in the park, which included games for the kids, food and music provided by a number of bands who played throughout the evening. At 7:30 pm the Duck race went off without a hitch and the kids enjoyed themselves. Finally at 9pm clean up began and concluded what would be a great night out in the township.
