As the crews prepared for the fireworks at the Country Club on Friday evening, calls for service kept coming in. At 17:50 hours the company was alerted along with 31 and MIC144 for a horse and Buggy accident in the 1200 Block of West Kings Hwy. Crews arrived to find one buggy overturned on Rt. 340 after colliding with a car. EMS transported the occupants and 35 fire police closed the roadway until the incident was cleared.

While on this incident at 18:11 hours the company was alerted to the 100 Block of Durham Dr. for an investigation of a mulch fire. On arrival of Chief and Tac 35 it was discovered that a mulch fire had extended to the deck. Crews stretched a handline and finished extinguishment which was started by the owner with his garden hose. Crews then checked for extension and awaited the arrival of the County Fire Marshal (FM103 Smith) who investigated the fire. Crew cleared just in time to go over to the Country Club for the annual 4th of July Fireworks.
