This morning the Water Rescue team from Wagontown assembled for an opportunity to do some Ice Rescue training. A local resident contacted us about help her with her pond aerators for her Swans. Ice had become an issue blocking the needed water area for the Swans to swim. The crew loaded up and headed to the location, then worked on the ice to break an area around the aerators and then do some training as well. This was excellent training as the ice is really thick and this provided a challenge that is rarely seen. Crews then cleaned up and cleared around 11:30 hours.
