The new year rang in early on the first with an accident at Birdell and Telegraph Rds. at 06:44 Hours. Chief 33 and Assistant 35 arrived a short time later and confirmed no entrapment, the operator had self extricated. While onscene of this incident, crews were alerted for a reported house fire in the 300 Block of N. Sandy Hill Rd. The Chief's along with Squad 35 made the response and Chief 35 arrived onscene to find smoke showing from a two story residence. Squad 35 arrived and the crew stretched a handline to the C side and made entry on the 2nd floor. Rescue 33 arrived and along with Chief 33 searched the residence and opened up for the Squad crew on the hose line. The crews made quick work of the incident along with the crew from Ladder 41 and Engine 76 that the assignment was scaled back to 33 & 35 Units while the Chester County Fire Marshals investigated the incident.

Later at around 12:55 hours the company was again alerted to the 300 Block of N Sandy Hill Rd. for an electrical fire in another residence. Honey Brook and Wagontown units investigated and found an issue with the outlet for the dryer. The incident was placed under control a short time later.
