March 1, 2025

On Saturday the company began a busy response time as the company responded to four separate brush and woods fires and an Automatic Fire Alarm during the day and into the evening.

The first call began in the 900 Block of W. Kings Hwy with a fire alarm, crew cleared that with no services required. Then at 13:52 Hours the company responded to State Hill in the 200 Block of Octorara Trail for the brush fire. Crews were on this incident for about an hour.

Clearing the brush call on Rt. 10, The brush truck was alerted to assist the Modena Fire Company in the 1000 Block of Laurel Rd. in Newlin Twp. Brush and Deputy responded and were onscene till a little after 1800 Hrs.

While Brush 35 was in Newlin, the company responded to another brush fire in the 100 Block of Baldwin Rd. Crews there found about an acre of grass and woods involved also involving a shed, Multiple assist companies from our mutual aid assisted on the scene.

Once cleared that incident at 17:58 Hours the company responded to the 1400 block of Telegraph Rd. for another brush fire. This fire was handled by the company and cleared a time later.

The weather conditions were very windy and very dry out despite the recent rain and snow cover, please use caution when burning as these fires are easily escaping the areas being burned in.
