At 20:07 Hours the Company along with Ladder 41 (CFD) were alerted to the 100 block of Davis Rd for the Chimney Fire. Onscene units found a chimney that had quite the build up of creosote that was burning inside the chimney. Crews from Ladder 41 went to the roof and used the chimney chains to break up the burning material in the chimney. Crews from Engine 35 cleaned the fire box out and then worked from the inside removing the burning debris. Crews worked for about an hour cleaning the chimney out ensuring all fire was extinguished then turning the house back over to the homeowner.

Wagontown would like to remind everyone to keep an eye on their wood stoves, fireplaces and their chimneys for the build up of creosote from burning wood.
