At 15:17 hours the company along with the Ladder from the Coatesville Fire Department was dispatched to the 400 block of West Kings Highway for a chimney fire. Upon arrival Engine 35 and Ladder 41 determined there was an active fire in the chimney, then went inside and emptied the fire box and prepared for the chains to be dropped down the chimney by Ladder 41. The ladder crew went to the roof and once everything was ready the lowered the chains to break free the built up creosote that was burning. Once this was done the interior crew cleaned out the chimney and crews ensured the fire was out. Companies cleared about an hour later.
