High Fire danger the next 3 days
By Wagontown Fire Company
April 10, 2023
The National Weather service has advised the threat of wildland fires is going to be high to very high for Monday through Wednesday. What that means is the escape of controlled burns is highly likely. Wagontown is requesting that residents refrain from open burning during these time periods as your fires may escape their original size and locations and cause brush or grass fires.
Fire Danger Class: High (Yellow) Chance of Fire Starting: Can start from most accidental causes. Fire Behavior: All spread is rapid. High intensity burning may develop on slopes and in fine fuel concentrations. Spotting: Short distance spotting common. Fire Control: May be difficult if fire is not hit hard and fast when small. Serious fires likely.
