| At 07:11 hours the CCFR dispatched 35 (Wagontown), 34 (Martins Corner), 31 (Sadsburyville) 44 (Westwood) and Ladder 41 (Coatesville) along with Ambulance 144 to the 100 block of West Mattson Hollow Rd. for a house fire.
Engine 31-1 the first to arrive onscene with Chief 31 (Grossman) reported smoke showing on arrival shortly after response. With that information Chief 35 (Ziegler) requested the working fire dispatch bringing additional resources. Engine 31-1 stretched the initial attack line through the back door and began suppression efforts.
Ladder 41 arrived next followed by Rescue 35 whose crews assisted with an additional line and ventilation as well as backing up the initial crews. Good engine and truck work held the fire to the living room area of the residence with heat and smoke damage throughout the residence.
Asst. 44 (Scott) arrived and assumed command until the arrival of Chief 35 (Ziegler) who then transferred command. With the fire knocked, the box was scaled down to those already onscene. FM101 (Weer) and FM104 (Clifford) arrived to investigate the fire. Once the investigation was complete the crews went to work overhauling the fire area and making sure all fire was extinguished.
Once overhaul was complete Belfor was called to the scene to handle the board up and securing the residence for the homeowner. |
