Busy 12 hours in Wagontown

On Saturday the morning began with an accident at Creamery Rd and Rt. 340 at 10:10 hours along with Ambulance 144, Asst. 35 (Patton) arrived onscene with a 2 vehicle accident with 1 injured and no entrapment. As Rescue 35 was making the response to this incident, Chester County Fire Radio advised of a second accident on Rt. 10 in the area of Eagles Dr. This accident was reported with entrapment and wires down; the Assistant then re-directed the Rescue and Engine to this incident while the Tac handled the first accident.

Rescue 27 (Cochranville) were heading to an event was in the area and advised they were available, they were quickly added to the assignment as the nature of the incident. Rescue 27 arrived and the victim was out of the car and began care, Rescue 35 arrived along with the Engine and crews secured the hazards a secured the area of the downed wires and notified PECO.

Crews then assisted with loading the patients into Lancaster ambulance 49 (Whitehorse) for transport and the company stood by until PECO arrived. Once PECO arrived onscene and secured the power, the wires, pole and vehicle were removed with Route 10 opening around 12:00 Hours.

Then later that evening the members came together to staff the annual fireworks event at the Coatesville Country Club. Crews arrived and set up for the display and were released once the event was over.
