New Traffic Unit for Wagontown Fire Police

By Wagontown Volunteers
June 28, 2017

Tonight on Wednesday the 28th the Wagontown Fire Company took delivery of Traffic 35, Traffic 35 is 2017 Ford F350 4X4 Knapheide utility body that was purchased through New Holland Ford. New Holland Ford was a great help in purchasing the new Traffic, which is where the Tac came from when we purchased it a few years back.

10-8 EVS of New Holland handled the up-fit where Nate and crew installed a built in slide out tray for the traffic cones, installed all the emergency lighting and a 2000 Watt inverter which will provide power at an incident scene. Of course the unit was perfectly lettered by our friends at the Tam Arte Designs of Thorndale, where Rick worked his magic and once again perfected our image.

With 10 fire police members the company decided to purchase them a more reliable vehicle that will perform the functions they are doing in providing scene safety to the fire members as they operate on incident scenes.

Traffic 35 is equipped with the following:

24 Traffic cones
6 Cone bars that can close a roadway
Traffic signs warning motorists of incident scenes
Traffic flares
Spare flashlights with traffic wands
Spare Traffic vests, helmets and PPE
AED, 1st in Medical Bag, Tac Stick, CO Meter
Water and Dry Powder extinguishers
and a host of other equipment to carry out their functions.

Traffic 35 went in service at 20:33 hours with the Chester County Fire Radio.
