On November 27th, 2024, at 20:14 Coatesville Fire Department was dispatched to the 300 block of W. Lincoln Highway in Coatesville City for an odor investigation inside of a house.

Coatesville Fire Department made the response and were advised by the Chester County 911 Center that the Coatesville Police Department was on-scene reporting an odor of something burning with a smoke condition. Ladder 41 advised the Chester County 911 Center to upgrade the assignment to a house fire with the police departments report. The Coatesville Police Department quickly found the source of the smoke and confirmed a fire on the 2nd floor of the house.

City units arrived onscene and went to work, arriving assist companies were assigned various functions on the fire grounds upon their arrival. Engine 35 assisted Engine 76 with stretching the 2nd line to the third floor, then completing at primary search of the 3rd floor as well as checking for any extension. The fire on the 2nd floor was quickly contained and units worked to complete the needed tasks on the fire ground prior to being released by command.
