On Monday July 10th the Wagontown Fire Company Laid to rest one of our Past Chief's who passed away late last week. Charles "Charlie" Pfitzenmeyer was laid to rest with honors in Volunteers Hall at the station with the burial following at the Forks of the Brandywine Church Cemetery on Hibernia Rd. Charlie at the time of his death, Was a life member who dedicated a good portion of his life to the Wagontown Fire Company. Throughout his volunteer career, Charlie held the positions of Fire Chief, Trustee and various other positions and was a very valued and long time member of the Wagontown Fire Company and was well respected by the community and surrounding fire companies. Following the services most in attendance returned to the Fire Company banquet hall for a time of fellowship. Wagontown would like to thank everyone that made this possible, and especially the Morris Family who loaned us their antique fire truck that was used to give Charlie his last ride on a fire truck to his final resting spot at the cemetery. We would like to also thank all the countless others who made sure we had what we needed and assisted us with our needs. |
