By Wagontown Volunteers
March 30, 2019

On Saturday afternoon at 16:32 hours the company was dispatched for an Engine for the house fire in the 200 block of New St. in the city. Engine 35 made the response with a crew shortly after dispatch. Coatesville units arrived with a working fire in the middle of the row and requested a 2nd alarm which then dispatched Wagontown for the rescue.

Rescue 35 responded with a crew bringing 10 members to the Coatesville fire while other members were still on station. While the Rescue was responding the Tac with 3 handled a fire alarm on Telegraph Road which proved to be set off by accident.

Crews worked with mutual aid on the scene to keep the fire to the building of origin and the two exposure buildings in Coatesville. Great work by all on the scene of Coatesville's fire kept the fire from taking the row.

Whitehorse Fire Company then relocated an Engine to accompany the Tanker and Tac crew at Wagontown to cover our local. All units returned to service just before 20:00 hours with Whitehorse returning to their station.
