Early morning accident at Red Mill and Route 340

On Saturday morning at 08:23 hours the company along with Ambulance 144 were dispatched to Red Mill Rd and Route 340 for the accident. Lt. 35A (Ziegler) arrived first confirming the location and requested a medic for one with Chest Pains. Ambulance 144 arrived next and requested a second BLS unit for the other driver.
Rescue 35 arrived and assisted EMS and secured the hazards while the fire police controlled traffic, while Ambulance 44 arrived as the 2nd due BLS a second ALS unit was requested for the other driver. Once the victims were loaded and transported to nearby hospitals the crews remained until the scene was cleared.
Crews cleared the incident and the roadway was re-opened at 09:00 hours.
