Thursday began early in the morning with a CO Alarm in the 100 Block of Old Wilmington Rd. The call came in at 00:37 hours with the Engine and Ambulance making the response. After a thorough check of the residence using on meters it was determined that the CO Detector the occupants had may have malfunctioned. The Company cleared the scene around 01:20 Hours.

Then the rest of the day was quiet until a pop up storm rolled in at 16:57 hours the Company was dispatched to a report of wires down in the 100 Block of Lafayette Rd. Chief 35 made the response after dispatch and while enroute to the wires call a second call came in for an accident in the 1200 Block of Manor Rd. Deputy 35 took the accident in and on arrival had one to be checked and held it to EMS (AMB144).

Chief 35 then arrived at the wires call and found a lane which had 5 houses at the end of it with wires down and still live causing issues in one of the residences. The Residence in question was energized and the front of the house along with the oil tank was charged. The resident was removed through the rear of the house and to a safe location.

The Tac responded and made access to the incident through a field adjacent to the incident scene and began checking the additional residences. While Command was established additional units began checking houses in the area.

PECO was requested and responded and once the power was secured an additional check of the residences was completed. Units cleared just after 18:30 hours with all houses turned over to their owners.
