November 23, 2016

Tonight at 17:17 Hours the Company along with mutual aid was dispatched to the 200 Block of High Point Lane for the reported out building fire. Shortly after dispatch Chief 35 marked up and was advised of a shed fire with exposure issues and extending to the woods.

Chief 35 arrived with a working fire, multiple sheds on fire with exposure to the house and extending to the woods and neighboring houses. Engine 31-1 arrived first after clearing an earlier car fire, they stretched a line to one side of the house and began to protect the exposure and work the propane tank that was close to the fire. Engine 35 arrived next and stretched another line to the other side and worked the exposures and fire on that side.

Rescue 35 arrived next and secured a water supply on the Charlie side of the fire, controlled the extending woods fire and then assisted with fire control of the original buildings. As additional units arrived Chief 48 (King) established the Water Supply and the additional crews came to the scene to assist with suppression and overhaul that was to come.

Crews worked and contained the spreading fire, protected the residence and extinguished the fire in good time. Chester County Fire Marshal Weer (FM100) arrived and conducted the investigation and then crews finished the overhaul of the fire buildings.

Great job by all the companies on the scene tonight that assisted with this incident
